Last year, Christine Burdick Design rebranded. launching a new logo in late 2016 (thanks to Pluck).

The birdhouse in our logo is a playful take on Christine’s last name, Burdick. Christine grew up with a love of birds, watching them year after year develop from nest to egg to hatchling. In its simplest form and shape, a birdhouse represents warmth and comfort, something we convey in each project. It is a recognizable shape, easily distinguished at first glance.

Over the years, we’ve gifted local, custom-made artisan pieces to our many clients. We enjoy the unique aesthetic touches local artisans bring to each and every project and support the local artistic community whenever possible.

This particular gift was very special both to us and to one of our clients. We worked with Champlain College on the interior design for the Sarah Ramsey ’12 iLab, a cutting-edge collaborative workspace, inspired by and dedicated to Sarah Ramsey, Class of 2012, who tragically passed away in 2013. The colors and materials of the birdhouse draw from the visual palette and designs found in the Innovation Lab, extending the reach of Sarah’s impact throughout the community.

You can read more about Sarah’s lasting legacy on Champlain College’s website, and at Sarah Ramsey Strong, the foundation and scholarship program established in her name.
